A road has been shut in both directions by police due to a medical incident.

The A229 City Way in Rochester is taped off from Old Patterns Lane to the junction with the A2.

Emergency crews were called at 1.19pm and remain at the scene.

Traffic information site Inrix says queues are building in the area.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a medical incident in City Way, Rochester.

“Emergency services are currently at the scene.”

The ambulance service has been contacted for further information.
