Two fire engines attended to find three garden sheds, several fence panels and a tree ablaze at the rear of the property.

Firefighters used hose reel jets and a main hose to extinguish the flames. There were no reported injuries.

The fire is being treated as accidental and crews believe it may have been caused by discarded smoking materials.

It prompted Kent Fire and Rescue Service to remind people who smoke to fully extinguish their cigarettes, pipes and cigars when they've finished smoking and to put the contents into a suitable fireproof container.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "As this fire has demonstrated throwing away any kind of smoking materials without due care and attention can lead to devastating fires that can have life changing consequences."
