All tickets allocated for the Midnight Eucharist at Rochester Cathedral

All tickets have been allocated for the Midnight Eucharist at Rochester Cathedral tonight.

Canon Phil Hesketh said there may be a few returned tickets on the door but it is highly unlikely.

Due to ongoing building work to create the Hidden Treasures, Fresh Expressions project, the cathedral has had to limit seating for the services. There are normally 1,100 seats available, but this has been reduced to 700.

Canon Hesketh said: “We have decided that entry to the services this year will be by ticket only as there is less space available than normal, so instead of being no room at the inn, it may be that there’s no room at the cathedral."

Other churches holding Midnight services tonight include:

St Margaret's, Saint Margaret's Street, Rochester; St Nicholas', High Street, Strood; St Barnabas, Nelson Road, Gillingham; St Margaret's, High Street, Rainham and St Michael's, Hill Terrace Chatham.
