Police investigate car fires in Mill Road, Gillingham

Emergency services were called to two separate car fires across Medway in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were called to Mill Road, Gillingham, at midnight after reports two cars were alight.

Officers also attended the scene and are treated the blazes as suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01634 792209 quoting 20-0014.

Emergency services were then called to another car blaze in Miers Court Road, Rainham, at 5.44am.

The cause of the fire is unknown and a police spokesman said: "Inquiries to locate the registered owner are ongoing."

The landowner has been informed of the damaged vehicle.

Police are not connecting the two incidents.
