Traffic is now flowing freely after a crash closed one lane on the M2.

The accident, which involved two cars, happened on the coastbound carriageway between junction 4 for Gillingham (A278) and junction 5 for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone (A249).

Drivers were advised to expect delays in the area.

Police were called shortly before 11am to deal with the collision and help with the clearance of the carriageway.

No injuries were reported.
