Chatham rape suspects from Bromley and Abbey Wood charged by Kent Police

Two men accused of raping a woman in Chatham have been charged by detectives.

The pair, who reportedly assaulted their victim at a private address in the town, were arrested this week following an appeal by police in the media.

Officers had released CCTV images of two men they wanted to question in connection with the incident on July 25.

A bank card belonging to the victim was reportedly stolen during the attack before being used in Bromley.

Osaze Obamwonyi, 26, of Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley, and Abdul Kabia, 22, of Felixstowe Road, Abbey Wood have both been charged with two counts of rape.

They were also charged with theft and fraud by false representation.

Both were remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
