More than 33 workers received awards to mark the contribution they make to schools.
The Medway School Workforce Awards honoured teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, family laison officers and meals supervisors.
This year saw the first People's Choice awards. Voters were given a shortlist of six deserving nominees to choose from but there could only be one winner and that was Hundred of Hoo school receptionist Pauline Warton.
Pauline's nomination said: "She consistently works to an exceptional standard, being a professional and friendly first point of call for the school both in person and on the telephone. Pauline often goes over and beyond the requirements of the job and has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the school."
Elaine Hunt, school workforce development co-ordinator for Medway Council, said: "There were some great nominations and it was a difficult decision to shortlist candidates for the People's Choice but in the end it was Pauline who walked away with the award."
