Gillingham: Pier Road closed after car accident involving pedestrian

A road has been shut after an accident involving a car and a pedestrian in Gillingham.

Police were called to Pier Road, near the Medway Tunnel, at 5.50pm.

Ambulance crews were also called to the incident and the road will be shut while the casualty is treated.

A spokesman said: "Police were called to Pier Road, Gillingham at 5.50pm on Wednesday, 20 February 2019 following a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

"South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to the scene.

"The road will be closed whilst the ambulance crew treat the casualty."
