Three-car crash in Medway Tunnel in Strood

Police were called to a three-vehicle pile-up in the Medway Tunnel earlier this morning.

Officers attended the tunnel under the River Medway, linking Strood and Chatham, at 8.39am.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, who were assessing for injuries at the scene.

The ambulance service has been approached for details, but it is understood no one suffered any serious injuries.

Police left the scene at about 10am.
