A proposal to create a large student housing development tops the latest list of planning applications recently submitted to a local council.
The scheme would see an existing building converted and extended to form 20 bedrooms for student use.
Proposals include demolishing the rear of the property and constructing a new two-storey block with accommodation in the roof space.
The development is earmarked for Brompton High Street, where the front of the existing structure would be retained and refurbished as part of the project.
Also among the latest applications is a bid to turn a home in Wallace Road, Rochester, into a therapeutic children’s residence for up to four young people aged between seven and 17.
In another proposal, a historic forge building at Forge Cottage in Bush Road, Cuxton, could be reconstructed with a glazed link extension to create a family annexe, while plans have also been submitted for two detached houses on an infill plot between existing properties.
Smaller projects include a self-build home, several house extensions, and a number of applications to convert existing houses into small HMOs (houses in multiple occupation) across the area.
