A woman needed hospital treatment for facial injuries after a late-night assault.

An image of a man who may have important information on the attack, which happened in Commercial Road, Strood, has since been released by police.

The assault is reported to have happened at around midnight on Monday, April 26.

The victim sustained a facial injury which was treated at a hospital.
