Police were called to what they referred to as a "disturbance" in Deanwood Drive, Rainham.

They say a report was made by a third party, at 3,34pm this afternoon, that two men were involved in a verbal argument.

Officers attended and spoke with a witness who confirmed they had seen a verbal disagreement, but police say no one has come forward to report being a victim.

Accounts on social media suggest men were seen fighting in the area and that broomsticks and metal wheels had been used as weapons.

The incident was also said to have been witnessed by several children on their way home from school.
