Pink Cockatoo stolen from van parked at the Holiday Inn in Maidstone Road Chatham

A pink, pet cockatoo has been stolen from a hotel car park.

Police are investigating the suspected theft of family pet Boo, who has been missing since Thursday, July 11.

The roseate cockatoo was being kept in an air conditioned animal transport van in the car park at the Holiday Inn, in Maidstone Road, Chatham.

But between 9pm on Thursday, July 11 and 7.15am Friday, July 12 Boo had disappeared.

Owner Holly Garson is heartbroken.

She said: "We miss her so much and so do her feathery friends.

"The police are investigating but nothing has been discovered as of yet.

"We are all heartbroken and just want her home.

"I am just doing everything I can to get her back and nothing will stop me she’s a member of our family."

Police say inquiries are ongoing.
