The hearing sought to establish whether the pair had breached standards of professional behaviour.

They were accused of creating a “laddish” clique in the office.

Both officers allegedly “abused their powers” and “undermined, humiliated or denigrated others” while in their roles as local police team sergeants in Medway.

The hearing was due to end tomorrow but has been halted for legal reasons.

A fresh hearing is due to be arranged at a later date.
