Van fire in Roberts Road, Rainham

Police are investigating the circumstances of a two-van blaze which left one person injured.

Crews attended a property in Roberts Road, Rainham, at around 9.10pm yesterday.

Resident David Aiken filmed the fire on Tuesday night

Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames.

One person was given first aid at the scene for shock and smoke inhalation before being passed into the care of paramedics.

Police officers attended the scene and initial inquiries are under way into the circumstances.

A man who lived on the narrow street said he hadn't known about the blaze, until he was told by a neighbour this morning.

There was no sign of any destroyed vehicle at the location this morning.
