Kent Police to deploy extra patrols across Medway to stop illegal rave taking place

Those behind the event have been warned action will be taken against them should they go ahead with the publicised plans.

A police spokesperson said: “We're are aware of an unlicensed music event publicised to take place in Medway this evening and will be operating heightened patrols at several potential locations.

“Action will be taken against any linked antisocial behaviour.

“Organisers also risk having equipment seized.”

Unlicensed music events are unregulated gatherings involving large groups of people and featuring loud music.

They are illegal as they are hosted without measures to protect the safety of those attending and can often involve anti-social behaviour, drug-dealing and gang activity.

People who attend could also face fines.
