Police incident at Chatham train station closes railway bridge

The bridge at Chatham railway station was taped off last night due to a police incident.

Several police officers were also at the scene just before 8pm.

Rail firm Southeastern tweeted last night: "Because of the police dealing with an incident at Chatham station, the main ticket hall is currently closed. Please enter and exit the station via the side gates."

Trains still stopped at Chatham as normal.

British Transport Police has been approached for more information.
