Rainham: Men filmed playing in Splashes pool after closing time

Pranksters sneaked into Splashes Leisure Pool in Rainham after closing time and filmed themselves playing on inflatables and slides.

A YouTube video uploaded last week by YouTube user Ally Law shows a group of men - including Lee Marshall, aka Disco Boy; and Daniel Jarvis - gaining access to the pool in Bloors Ln, before messing about in the leisure centre.

Footage shows them jumping around in the pool, going down the slides and leaping from one of the slides onto an inflatable obstacle course in the pool.

They then escaped the building the following morning before staff arrived, and the centre's alarm can be heard sounding as they leave the site.

The final part of the video, filmed later, shows Ally wearing a police helmet, and explaining they intend to use police uniforms in a forthcoming stunt.

"If you're wondering why I've got a police uniform we have been hooked up big time by a police officer that's a massive fan," he says. "I can't mention his name or where he's from but he's hooked us up with these Met Police uniforms, and we have four of them. The whole kit, he's hooked us up with everything and we are going to cause absolute...

"Who is going to question a policeman going into a place ten minutes before it closes eh? Nobody, that's who's gonna question it."

The footage emerged a day before travellers arrived and set up camp on land near the pool, and reportedly threatened staff; but the incidents are not related.

Kent Police and Medway Council have been approached for a comment.

Bob Dimond, Medway Council’s Head of Sport Leisure, Tourism and Heritage, said: “We have reported the incident to police and as with any incident we will review our own procedures."
