It was coned off at 9am Tuesday, May 27 at its junction with the High Street.

At the time the firm gave no indication of when it might reopen, but today (Monday) the route was back in use after nearly a fortnight.

It had been causing disruption, with motorists complaining of congestion caused by the closure.

A signed diversion route had been in place with motorists heading northbound being sent via Commercial Road, High Street, North Street and then Frindsbury Road.

Drivers heading southbound should use Frindsbury Road, North Street and then the High Street.
