Manager Jas Sathi noticed the duo making a lot of noise in the park opposite his store.

When they entered he decided to serve them quickly.

Mr Sathi said: "They came in at about 7.25am when I was organising the newspapers.

"They picked up around £8 of shopping plus £4 of pies.

"They said they had given me £10 but it was my first sale of the day and I could not see any of the money in the till.

"When I asked again one of them hit me and they ran off with the shopping.
