A blast of icy April showers in Medway and Sittingbourne had people taking to social media to report the hail yesterday, but no sooner had they got their phones out than the sun came out.

Despite the mad weather, the county has been treated to a display of sunshine and rainbows.

Lisa Daniels in Walderslade posted a picture of a glorious rainbow and tweeted: "The temperature's dropped about a hundred degrees and we've just had hailstones but now I have this."
