Young people seen throwing stones from Higham Road bridge over the A289

A group of young people were seen throwing stones from a bridge over a busy road.

They were spotted on the Higham Road, Wainscott bridge over the A289, just off the Wainscott Bypass at around 10.30am this morning.

No one was injured but police confirmed they are investigating.

The windscreen of kmfm presenter Rob Wills was hit as he was travelling along on the A289.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Kent Police was called to a report a group of young people had been seen throwing items at cars travelling on the Wainscott bypass.

"The items are reported to have been thrown from the Higham Road and one person has reported damage to their windscreen.

"No injuries have been reported and officers conducted a search of the area."
