Police investigation launched after two men allegedly approached children in Princes Park area in Chatham

A police investigation has been launched following reports two men approached children in a play park.

The suspicious incident was said to have happened in the Princes Park area in Chatham yesterday.

The men are reported to have tried to engage the children in conversation.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police is investigating a suspicious incident that is reported to have happened at a play park in the Princes Park area of Chatham on Saturday, September 19.

"It was reported that two men entered the park and tried to engage in conversation with a number of children.

"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing."
