Teen's electric scooter stolen in attack in Lower Lines Park in Gillingham as police hunt suspects

A teenager was attacked while riding his electric scooter through a park which was then taken by a group of men.

The 18-year-old victim was travelling through the Lower Lines Park in Gillingham when the incident happened.

Three men are said to have approached the victim as he rode towards Medway Road at 7.30am on Saturday morning in the park near the universities.

He was reportedly punched several times before the offenders stole the vehicle and rode off.

Following the robbery, a man in his 40s known to the victim was allegedly assaulted by two people after he approached them in Burns Road.

Police say the offenders are believed to be the same people as the park robbery.

The suspects are described as while with one man said to be 6ft tall with short spikey blonde hair and stubble.

He was wearing a yellow and blue hooded top with Hoodrich branding.

The second man was described as having dark brown hair and was wearing a blue Adidas top and grey bottoms.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to help them investigate the incident.
