A teenage drug dealer has been jailed after being caught with more than £1,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine.
Sadaq Omar, 19, was charged with possessing the drugs with intent to supply after police searched a home in Chatham in March while investigating an unrelated incident.
As police searched the property in Thorold Road, they found Omar, of no fixed address, in one of the back rooms with dozens of wraps.
Upon further investigation, the teenager was also found to be in breach of a criminal behaviour order issued in Uxbridge preventing him from being in possession of a mobile phone or drugs.
He was jailed for three years and six months at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, April 26, after pleading guilty to two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, and two counts of acting in beach of the criminal behaviour order.
Investigating officer DC Rob Hemsley said: "Drug dealers and the substances they sell are not welcome in Chatham or the rest of Kent, and officers will continue to pursue these individuals and ensure they are brought before the courts.
"Dealers, like Omar, actively target and take advantage of vulnerable people, using them to make an illicit profit.
"Members of the public are often invaluable in helping us tackle this activity. If you suspect dealers are operating in your area please call us on 101.’
