Motorists faced a 45 minute wait after a signalling problem saw level crossing barriers in Ingram Road, Gillingham, jammed

Motorists faced a 45 minute wait to get through Gillingham after a level crossing failed.

At 8.30am a signalling problem meant the barriers across Ingram Road remained stuck in the down position.

An operations manager went to the crossing to carry out repairs and police were informed to manage traffic and get information out to road users.
