Traffic on A2 Londonbound following three-vehicle collision

Fire crews have been called to free a person trapped in a car following a multi-vehicle collision.

There's currently traffic on the A2 Londonbound between Three Crutches, Strood, and Cobham Interchange following a three-vehicle crash.

Two fire engines, two ambulances and police were the scene.

Kent Fire and Rescue were called at 12.30pm.

One person is believed to be trapped inside their car and fire crews have been using hydraulic equipment to rescue them.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said two ambulances attended the scene and treated three people.

A woman in her 30s was treated for ankle injuries and taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

Traffic is currently stretching back to Junction 1 for Strood on the M2.

All lanes have now cleared but delays of around 30 minutes are expected.
