Two men arrested after cars attacked with bats and hammers in Walderslade Road

Two men have been arrested after thugs ran riot along a residential street.

The incident in Walderslade Road, Walderslade, near Chatham, happened yesterday evening.

It is thought that cars were attacked, and some reported men armed with hammers and a baseball bat.

It is thought the men clashed after a crash between two cars.

Police have arrested one man in his 30s and another in his 20s after they attended Medway Police Station.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Two men have been arrested by officers investigating a disturbance in Walderslade.

"Kent Police was called to an altercation involving two groups of men in Walderslade Road at 5.32pm on Friday, April 5. The altercation took place following a three-vehicle collision.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting 46/65066/19.
