Two more arrests in Rochester bridge murder investigation

Police have made a further two arrests in connection with a murder investigation after a man's body was found near a bridge.

A man in his 40s from Chattenden and another in his 20s from Belvedere were arrested in Chattenden yesterday afternoon.

A man in his 30s was arrested on Tuesday night.

The victim, a 39-year-old man from Sittingbourne, was found dead on the Rochester side of High Street bridge at 7.23am on Tuesday.

All three remain in custody as inquiries continue.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they have information about the man’s death, or anyone who heard or saw anything unusual in the High Street or Corporation Street area the previous night or during the early hours of Tuesday, September 18.
