Pictures shared online show the vehicles spread out across the field behind the children’s play park.

A Medway Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of the group and are following a civil legal process to move them on.”

It is not the first time a group has been reported on the green space.

Last August, a group of caravans pitched up at the site, which led to police being called.

It was understood the field was accessed on the far side of Ruckinge Way at the time.

In the past, disgruntled people living nearby complained about padlocks allegedly being cut and new height restriction barriers being damaged to gain entry.

Fed-up neighbours called for tougher security measures to be put in place to prevent any unauthorised access.
