A van driver suffered a medical episode and collided into the central reservation of a motorway during rush-hour this morning.

The incident happened on the London-bound stretch of the M2 on the slip road to Strood just after 8am.

Three police cars and an ambulance were sent to the scene and the man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for further treatment.

South East Coast Ambulance Service said they had no further details on the nature of the man's condition at this point.

No other vehicles were involved.
