Walking Dead fans photo shoot in Featherstone House car park, Rochester

Walking Dead fans from across the country turned a car park into a battleground.

Photographer Gino Cinganelli brought 45 people to Featherstone House car park in Rochester High Street to recreate a battle scene from series six of the American zombie horror television series.

Mr Cinganelli was approached by ‘cosplayer’ Doug Grant, who wanted some pictures for his portfolio, and they decided to reach out to Walking Dead lovers to see if they were interested in recreating scenes from the show.

Cosplayers dress up as their favourite characters from TV shows, films and comics, and often go to conventions to meet other fans.

People from Peterborough, west London and Chelmsford travelled to Rochester to take part in the photo shoot.

Mr Cinganelli said: “We tried to find a location which was out of the way so we could run around with airsoft machine guns for the battle and I knew Featherstone car park in Rochester wasn’t used on a Sunday.

“It was big enough for what we needed and had some urban backdrops and derelict buildings which was perfect for our post-apocalyptic shoot.

“The land owner was more than happy for us to use it and we got some fantastic pictures.”

AllGen Gaming in the High Street was used as a make-up room and supplied the team with teas and coffees all day.
