Woman freed from car after crash in Wallbridge Lane in Rainham

A woman has been cut free from a car after it flipped onto its side.

Firefighters were called to Wallbridge Lane, Rainham, early today after reports of a car crash involving one vehicle.

When they arrived at around 12.30am crews found the car had ended up on its side and a woman trapped inside.

Working closely with paramedics, fire crews used specialist rescue equipment and managed to cut a flap allowing the lady to be freed.

Two fire engines were at the scene along with an ambulance and police.

She suffered some injuries and was handed over to an ambulance crew to be looked after.
