Chatham: Woman taken to hospital after falling ill in High Street

Emergency services helped a woman outside who reportedly collapsed on Chatham High Street.

Police were called to the high street, near the Central Theatre, at 3.14pm.

Paramedics treated the woman and took her to hospital.

One witness claimed: "She collapsed in front of primary school children attending Key Stage two festival at the Central Theatre in Chatham.

"Parents and teachers had to shield children while others attended the woman and called for an ambulance."

The ambulance service has been contacted for further information on the woman.
