Gills’ team included a number of senior players, including captain Gabriel Zakuani, playing an hour of the match. The skipper was back playing following a shoulder injury.

Bradley Stevensom, Connor Ogilvie, List and Wilkinson all went close before the Gills took the lead.

Tom Hadler, playing in goal for the Gills, did well to keep out efforts from Gills' community coach Dean Grant and Harry Goodger.

The sides went into the break level, with Jack Harris cancelling out Oldaker’s 20-yard opener within a minute.

Wilkinson put the Gills back infront on 57 minutes, getting on the end of an Oldaker cross and beating keeper Tom Benham with the shot, recovering well after a heavy first touch.

Two minutes later, List scored Gillingham’s third goal of the night from the penalty spot, following a foul in the box.
