The Gills were drawn away to Championship side Swansea City on Thursday morning.

The match at the Swansea.com Stadium will take place on the week commencing August 12, days after the League 2 season kicks off.
Carlisle United head to Priestfield for the opening game of the league season on Saturday, August 10.
Gillingham last made the trip to Swansea in January 2019 when Steve Lovell’s team were beaten 4-1 in the FA Cup having seen off Cardiff City in the previous round.
Thirty-two clubs were in the unseeded southern section draw. The competition is regionalised until the third round, split north and south.
Luton and Burnley will enter the competition in round two along with the 13 current Premier League clubs not involved in European competition.
Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United get involved from round three.
The Carabao Cup has produced some memorable evenings in the past few seasons for the Gills against higher-ranked opposition.
Gillingham reached the second round of the competition last season, losing 3-2 away to Premier League Luton Town.
The Gills got there after enjoying a 3-1 home win over Southampton in the opening round.
Those games came a year after a penalty shootout win at Brentford and a match at Wolves in the third round.
In 2020, during the Covid season, they played at Stoke City in the second round, losing 1-0 after beating Coventry City on penalties at Priestfield in their first round game.
