Euan Williams has become the latest player to agree a new deal with Gillingham.
The midfielder follows Bradley Dack and Max Clark in signing new terms ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. He’s agreed on a one-year contract.
Williams, 22, joined the Gills last summer after he was let go by Charlton Athletic, but his debut didn’t go to plan.
He was sent off on his first Gillingham appearance after a badly-timed challenge in the Carabao Cup first-round game at Swansea, which led to a three-game ban.
He started the game against Crystal Palace under-21s in the EFL Trophy but had to wait until Bradford City away in mid-October for his Football League debut, coming off the bench.
Williams’ first league start came the following week at Swindon but he was unable to hold down a regular place in the team and didn’t play a minute under John Coleman’s management.
Gareth Ainsworth included him in his first matchday squad and gave him some minutes as a substitute before starting games against MK Dons and Port Vale.
He finished the season with 13 appearances for the Gills.
Four players were offered fresh terms at the end of the season and defender Conor Masterson is now the only player who hasn’t signed a new deal.
