Gillingham's match against Lincoln City is postponed because of a waterlogged pitch

Gillingham's League 1 match with Lincoln City has been called off for a second time.

The match was originally due to be played in mid-November but The Imps called it off because of international call-ups. A waterlogged pitch has now meant the rearrange game due to be played tonight (Tuesday) is also off.

The Gills were looking forward to building on a positive weekend result after beating Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

City had been hit by Covid issues recently and they were heading into the midweek fixtures with four players unavailable.

Gillingham announced the postponement on Twitter, saying: "Tonight's game against Lincoln City has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

"A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced in due course."

The Gills will now turn their focus onto a home match against Rochdale this Saturday.

Fans who have purchased video match tickets will need to email ifollow@efl.com for refunds.
