Gillingham have signed young midfielder Daniel Adshead on a season-long loan from Norwich City.

Adshead, who turns 20 next month, could make his debut this weekend when the Gills host Morecambe in League 1.

He joined the Canaries from Rochdale at the start of the 2019/20 season, making 18 appearances for the under-23s in his first year with the club.

Adshead spent last season in Holland with Eerste Divisie side SC Telstar, where he played 28 times for the Dutch second-tier club.

He featured in Norwich's first-team friendlies this summer, in preparation for their Premier League return, including a late substitute appearance in the 5-0 win over Gillingham.
