Tucker played for the Gills in Tuesday night's Kent Senior Cup defeat against Maidstone United.

The 19-year-old made his one and only league appearance for the Gills in their 1-0 home defeat against Portsmouth last season.

His other two senior appearances for the Gills have come in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Young centre-half Tucker has already had a loan spell with Hastings and he'll be joined at the club by team-mate Stevenson.

The midfielder was recently on loan at Margate and the 20-year-old departs having made six appearances for the Gills this season.

He made his Gills debut in the Football League Trophy in August 2016 and made another appearance in the competition the following year.

But it was under Steve Lovell that he has really progressed, impressing earlier this season in the League Cup match at Millwall, producing a characteristic attacking performance.

He made his league debut off the bench in the home game against Sunderland and his only start to date, in the 3-3 draw at Doncaster.

Both are expected to feature for United in this Saturday's game at Three Bridges.

United manager Chris Agutter was delighted to have Tucker back, saying: "Jack was an integral part of what was our most defensively solid and productive period of the season. He’s a terrific lad."

Stevenson has been on his radar for a while, having seen him at the club on a previous loan spell when Darren Hare was in charge.

"He was at times electric," said the United boss, when speaking to the club's website.

"He’s a real talent who’s quality can only benefit us in our final push for promotion."
