Gillingham have rearranged their League 1 game against Bolton Wanderers

Gillingham’s Easter weekend trip to Bolton Wanderers has been rearranged.

The two clubs have agreed to move the game to Tuesday, April 14.

Gills were originally set to play the match at the University of Bolton Stadium on the Easter Monday (April 13), with an afternoon kick off.

Gillingham will be hoping for a better experience at Bolton than on their last visit, losing 4-0 in December 2016.

Bolton were chasing promotion back then but are experiencing problems off the pitch this summer and will start the season with a 12 point deduction after entering into administration.

Joint administrators say a deal to sell the club is now close.

“There has been a willingness on all sides to work tirelessly to ensure the survival of the club,” said a club statement.

The game against the Gills will be an 8pm kick off.
