Medway Area Sunday League round-up (23/03/25)

Quested booked their place to face Medway Invicta in the Senior League Cup final.

The Qs won their semi-final tie on Sunday, defeating Springhead Park 7-2 with goals from Brad Schafer (5), Jack Peters and Frazer Rogers.

In league action, Bobby Noye and Ashley Poppy goals moved Cliffe Woods Colts to the top of the Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Cuxton 91.

Ryan Jones, Nathan Young, James Rocha and Callum Smith netted in Rainham Kenilworth 2’s 4-1 win against Black Eagles Athletic, for whom Henry McGuiness replied.

In Division 1, Anchorians Athletic won both matches of their double header against Athletic Bilbowls.

Lloyd James scored both goals in a 2-0 win before Josh Botting netted in a 1-0 victory.

Ben Godfrey and Sam Dobson were on target in Swanscombe Tigers’ 2-1 victory over Medway Sportage, who replied through Harry Crook.

In Division 2, Jack Burnham (4), Reece Marjolin, Allen Bangura and Malachi Benjamin scored in Cliffe Woods Colts A’s 7-0 victory over Bredhurst.

George Burton netted for Eccles Sunday in a 3-1 defeat to The Walnut Tree.

Ryan Capon (2) and Jack Samuels were on target for Sporting Club Libra in their 3-0 triumph over ASK Medway.

Division 3 Pegasus 81 ran out 7-0 winners over Rainham 84 courtesy of Swayze Whale (4), Alfie Kilby and Josh Fleming.

Real 60 shaded Woodpecker 3-2 thanks to Robbie Smith, Kieron Jordan and Harry Bailey.

Ryan Badham scored for Rochester Eagles in their 1-1 draw with The Stumble, who replied through Jordan Reynolds.

In Division 4, Rochester Eagles Reserves had Ryan Cox, Rhys McGown, Daniel Bushell (2) and Patrick Taylor to thank for their 5-1 win against Hempstead Valley.

Nathan Robinson, Aaron Scott, Callum Ward, Martin Phillip, Jordan Lorentson and Danny Olowu were all on the scoresheet in Medway United’s 6-1 win over Anchorians Rovers, Patrick Hemingway with their consolation.

Luke Darling scored for Walderslade WMC in their 3-1 defeat to New Road Athletic.

Wigmore Wanderers hit 10 without reply against Palmerston Athletic thanks to hat-tricks from Jack Downey and Charlie Ivey, a George Hennessy brace plus Ben Brewster and James Lundie.

Division 5 leaders The Co-op Cobras won 3-0 against The Gentleman courtesy of JonJoe Langley, Tagen Jaris and an own goal.

Goals from Mitch Shaw and Haiden Gomershall (2) were not enough for The Simon Massive as they lost narrowly 4-3 to Springhead Park Reserves, whose goals came from Josh Wilson, Josh Cheeseman and Ben Cable (2).

The highest score of the morning went to Woodcoombe, who thrashed Walderslade WMC Reserves 21-0 with 11 different scorers.

Jordan Spicer (4), Alex Forster (3), Jordan Forster (3), Tom Olson (2), Kyle Maryott, Ellis Wood, Reece Hackett, Joe Broad, Josh Shaw, Hardy Stew and two own goals made up the tally.
