Medway Messenger Sunday League round-up (11/04/21)

There were only two games played in the Senior Section but Quested took advantage to go top with a 2-0 win over Cliffe Woods Colts thanks to Harry Lester and Stuart West.

Rainham Kenilworth Athletic lost 6-0 to Chatham Town Sundays who had six different scorers - Lee Armstrong, Jake Bell, Ben Percy, Matthew Getting, Harley Gorse and Bailey Pierce.

Thamesview lost 3-0 to Premier Division leaders 16A whose goals came from Kane Taylor (2) and Jack Shaw.

Intergills and Pentagon shared six goals and the points in a 3-3 draw, Josh Waters (2) and Richard Humphrey for Intergills. Frankie Kennedy, Jack Thompson and Sam Dunn with the Pentagon goals.

Ben Hawley with the lone strike for Anchorians in their 6-1 defeat to Medway Lions. Elliot Huitson (3), Andy Collins (2), Graeme Barnes netted for the victors.

Ash Claridge, Bruce Shrimplin and Scott Gillman scored in the first game for Borden Park Wanderers in a 3-0 victory over Cliffe Woods Rangers.

Rangers also lost the second game of their double header, going down 2-1 with Dave Cobb and Gillman the men on target.

Hempstead United were shaded 4-3 to Park Regis Fountain, Callum Burton (2) and Ryan Capon with their goals. Jack Brown, Michael Sullivan, Ben Deacon and Paul Reynolds with the strikes for the victors.

Division 1 Cross Park came from 3-1 down at half-time to shade Bredhurst Rovers 5-4 thanks to doubles from Alex Belsey and Jamie Stewart with Mike Dungworth completing the scoring. Zeki Hussein, Neal Parkes and Ben Silvester (2) scored for Bredhurst Rovers.

Jamie Dray's lone goal was not enough for Cuxton 1991 as they lost 4-1 to leaders Rainham Kenilworth Rangers.

Medway United Central were thrashed 17-0 by Cliffe Woods Colts A with Jack Burnham leading the way with seven goals, Kieren Stannard (3), Callum Clark (2), Luke Good (2), Jordan Friend, Will Wilson and Matt Wills also bagged.

Matthew Burgess (2) and Rafael Shadare brought home the points in a 3-0 win for Omega 92 against Rocheste.

Tom Bond’s goal was not enough as Wigmore went down 2-1 to Medway Rovers 17, who scored through Caleb Dyce and Kieran Trussell.

New Division 2 leaders Eagles claimed their 10th win out of 10 games with an 8-0 triumph over Rainham Eagles. Their goals came from George Beadle (2), Darren Minall, Ben Church, Ruivo Lopes, George Owen, George Jordan and Harry Nash.

James Gasson claimed a hat-trick for Milton & Fulston United in their top of the table clash with FC Catalans.

Gillingham Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Pentagon Reserves, who equalised in the last minute.

Asked Trigg (2), Jack Miller, Tom Searle and Jacob Clarke were all on target in Cliffe Woods Colts Reserves' 5-0 victory over Chatham Town MFC.

Jamie Gamble and Billy Greenall netted for Medway Athletic 19 in their 2-1 win against Anchorians United, whose goal came from Erikas Ivasauskas.

Luke Thornton and Jonathan Webb claimed the Palmerston Athletic goals in their 2-2 draw with Bredhurst Juniors, who replied through Cam Gillespie and George Cowdrey.

In Division 3, Ben Smith (2) and Jack Marshall were on the scoresheet for Five Bells in their 3-2 win against Medway United West.

Leaders High Halstow had Tom Snow (2), Luke Staples and Dylan Kenney to thank for their 4-0 victory over bottom side Rochester Eagles.

Kye Knappitsch scored both goals in Bredhurst's 2-0 win at Medway Rovers 20.

Ryan McDonald and Louie Crompton claimed the Real 60 goals in their 4-2 defeat to ASK Medway who scored through Lee Hewitt (2), Kye Humphreys and Bobby Stuart.

Charlie Hetterley struck the only goal of the game for Swallow Rise against Eagles Gold. The second match in the double header saw Eagles Gold lose 4-0 with Allen Bangura (2), Steve Keats and an own goal doing the damage.
