Medway Messenger Sunday League round-up (18/04/21)

Chatham Town moved to within three points of Senior Section leaders Quested with a 7-2 defeat of Cliffe Woods Colts.

Sam Stace, Matthew Getthing, Bailey Pierce, Sam Davies, Joe Hughes, Callum Peck and Ben Percy were all on target for Chats with Joe Simpson grabbing a brace in reply.

Tobi Baruwa, Emanuel Oli and Jordan Sarfo got the Bells goals as they shaded Rainham Kenilworth Athletic 3-2.

Medway Sport in fifth have games in hand as they seek a top-two Premier Division finish following a 4-3 win over second-placed Borden Park Wanderers.

Aaron Lorentson, Jordan Lorentson and Tommy Davey (2) led them to their latest win.

Park Regis Fountain sit third after a double-header success over Thamesview. They won 2-0 with goals from Chris Elliot and Joe Prince before winning 1-0 in match two.

Cliffe Woods Rangers lost 4-2 to Pentagon, who are fourth following goals from Jack Thompson, Kieran Daly and Billy Congram (2).

After a goalless draw, Anchorians won their second game against Hempstead United 1-0.

Intergills won the first game 2-1 against Medway Lions thanks to Michael Smith and Chris Last, Graeme Barnes replied for Lions.

Barnes scored both goals for Medway Lions in match two, but it finished in a 2-2 draw with Intergills scoring through Josh Waters and Ellis Drew.

Division 1 Cuxton 1991 completed a double-header win over Medway United Central, 4-0 and 10-0.

Harry Martin, Jamie Dray, Robbie Keen and Ted Lay all scored in the first game.

In game two, Keen bagged a hat-trick, with Ewan Greenway, Ben Folkard, Lay, Dan Haggar, Will Doherty, Dan Crisp and Jack Beatty also on target.

Wigmore won both games 3-0 against Cross Park, James Saffery, Michael Freeman (2) scored in the first match.

Both games finished 1-1 between Omega 92 and Bredhurst Rovers. Rafael Shadare netted in the first game for Omega 92 with Jamie Nash scoring in the second match.

Division 2 leaders Eagles made it 12 wins out of 12 with a double-header success over Medway Athletic 19.

Rob Tollputt (2), Sam Defrates, Harry Nash, Callum Sawyer and Max Smith secured a 6-1 win in game one, Billy Greenall with the lone strike for Medway.

The second match finished 3-1 to Eagles thanks to Ben Church, Darren Minall and Daniel Townsend with Jamie Gamble replying.

Chatham Town MFC and Palmerston Athletic drew 2-2 in their first game. Henry McGuiness and Sam Wells scored for Chatham with Luke Thornton and Jason Ellis replying for Palmerston.

In game two, Chatham ran out 6-1 winners thanks to McGuiness, Harry Whitehead and Jamie Blackham (4), Ellis again netted for Palmerston.

Cliffe Woods Colts Reserves had Ashley Trigg and Connor Hood to thanks for the points in a 2-1 win against Milton & Fulston United, who replied through Luke Mills, in game one.

The second match of the double header ended in a draw with Nagene May scoring for Milton.

Gillingham Town lost 4-1 in game one to Bredhurst Juniors with Caiden Still, George Cowdrey, George Ball-Hobbs and Zaac Goodman on target.

Still and Lewis Davis netted for Bredhurst Juniors in a 2-1 victory in the second match.

After losing 4-0 to FC Catalans in the first game, Pentagon Reserves turned the tables in match two to win 2-1 thanks to Kyle Law and Jake Bowhill.

Anchorians United sealed a double-header success over Rainham Eagles.

Luke Brigden, Jamie Reeves and Josh Collins outscored Nigel Russell's penalty in a 3-1 win.

Reeves then bagged a hat-trick with Erikas Ivasauskas and David Winwood completing the scoring for Anchorians in a 5-1 success, Luke Johnstone replying.

Division 3 leaders High Halstow won 4-2 victory at Eagles Gold thanks to Tom Snow (2), Joel Wakefield and Sam Crayford.

A Joshua Jones goal was not enough for Bredhurst as they lost 2-1 to ASK Medway, for whom Lee Hewitt and Sam Slipper netted.

Sam Kenny, Martin Seal, Aaron Pritchard and Tiago Oliveira all found the net for Medway Rovers 20 as they ran out 4-2 winners against Medway United West.

Jack Marshall scored for Five Bells but they lost 2-1 to Swallow Rise, whose goals came from Kane Parkes and Caleb Luckhurst.

David Withey and Kia Osborne scored the Real 60 goals in their 2-0 win over Rochester Eagles.
