Medway Sunday Area League round-up (11/05/25)

Rochester Eagles won the Junior Charity Cup Final after beating Westfield Sole.

Eagles triumphed 2-0 with second-half goals coming from Jack Vince and Leylan Kettle.

Quested reached Friday’s Andy Groves Memorial Cup Final after beating Cliffe Woods Colts 7-0 in the last four with goals from Fjord Rogers (2), Preston Kedwell, Danny Kedwell, Tom Davey and Matt Gethin.

In league action, Premier Division Springhead Park lost 4-3 to Rainham Kenilworth 2 with Louie Murrell (2), Ryan Jones and Liam Terry their marksmen.

In Division 1, Josh Bedzrah (3), Caleb Dyche (2), Fred Allen, Harry Crook and Jack Cooper were all on target in Medway Sportage’s 8-1 victory over Borstal Wanderers.

Callum Sawyer scored the Eagles goal in their 4-1 loss to Swanscombe Tigers.

Division 2 Strood shaded The Walnut Tree 4-3 with goals from Fraser Jennings, Josh Brown, Leyton Davis and Tam Tabe. Jason Yuen (2) and Elliot Huitson replied for the visitors.

Cliffe Woods Colts A won the first game of a double header against AEI Sports 1-0 thanks to Jack Burnham.

The second game finished 1-1 as Malachi Benjamin scored the Colts goal, with Jamal Olanreuajn replying.

In Division 3, a game of 11 goals saw Real 60 came out on top winning 6-5 against Rainham 84. Hayden Webb scored a hat-trick, Harry Bailey bagged a brace with Kieron Jordan completing the tally.

Kent Marina lost 6-0 to Pegasus 81 with Swayze Whale (2), Alfie Kilby, Michael Freeman and two own goals on the scoresheet.

In Division 4, doubles from Ronny Whittaker and Billy Rogers, Danny Solari, Lee Pearce and Danny Davies completed the scoring in New Road Athletic’s 7-2 win against Rochester Eagles Reserves, Liam Basham and Adrian Florin replied.

Jack Boichat claimed the lone strike in Palmerston Athletic’s 7-1 loss to Bredhurst Juniors, Kane Westal (3), Callum Coonard, Frazier Crew, Paul Stock and Kristian Nickolas netted for the victors.

In Division 5, Deagal won 4-0 over Pegasus 81 Reserves with Jack Jewell, Saviour Odgengde, Ben Warick and Lloydie Pennant their marksmen.

Charley Frost, Jacob Palmby (2), Jack Palmby, Jay Vincent and Chris Ramshaw were the Dockyard United marksmen in their 6-1 victory against Woodcoombe.

Springhead Park Reserves and The Co-op Cobras shared six goals and the points in a 3-3 draw. Bryn Passey, Liam Kenyon and Bradley Goldstone netted for Springhead Park Reserves with JonJoe Langley (2) and Luke Pagett replying.

Goals from Sam Francis and George Jordan were not enough for The Gentlemen as they went down 4-2 to Medway United West, for whom Ben Cooper (2), Alex Matthews and Henry Roddie scored.
