Gills midfielder Darren Oldaker has extended his loan with promotion chasing Hythe Town.
Oldaker had a thrilling first month for the Cannons, helping them push for a Bostik South play-off place.
Hythe's home game against Sittingbourne was postponed on Saturday.
The 19-year-old scored four goals in four appearances during his first month. The Gills now have a 24-hour recall on the player after extending the deal.
Sam Denly, the Hythe boss, has been thrilled to have Oldaker at the club, saying: "DJ is a fantastic player, the best midfielder in the league.
"He's played first team games for Gillingham and there are league clubs looking at him. It's a great coup for us, as a club, to get someone of his ability in."
Oldaker has made eight appearances for the Gills this season, including three substitute appearances in the league.
Hythe are back in action on Tuesday in a game against league strugglers Molesey.
