Chatham Town have reached a groundsharing agreement to host Lewisham side SE Dons next season.
The South East Dons were founded in 2014 by rapper Don Strapzy and friends, and started out as a Sunday League side in the Orpington & District League, before stepping into Saturday non-league football this season.
It proved to be a successful 2024/25 campaign for the Dons, who had formed a partnership with fellow Lewisham-based side Forest Hill Park, playing in the Southern Counties East Division 1.
They played under the Forest Hill Park name during the 24/25 season, finishing third in the table and missing out on promotion after losing to Soul Tower Hamlets in the play-off final, a match decided on penalties.
They averaged crowds of 168 for home league games.
From next season, they will be back playing as SE Dons Football Club.
The Dons will start the new 2025/26 season in Division 1 of the Southern Counties East Football League.
They were paying at the Ladywell Arena, in Lewisham, but will now play 25 miles away in Chatham after agreeing a deal to play at the Bauvill Stadium.
Chatham’s 3G facility is used by both the men’s and women’s teams of the club and various other junior and academy sides.
