Tottenham Hotspur defender Connor Ogilvie has joined Gillingham on loan

Gillingham have brought Tottenham defender Connor Ogilvie back to the club.

The left-sided defender has joined on loan until December 31 and is available for the game at Barnsley on Saturday.

Ogilvie was on loan with the Gills last season, making 37 league appearances.

He can play as either left-back or as a left-sided centre-half and adds much-needed cover to that area.

Last season he provided competition for Bradley Garmston at left-back.

Boss Steve Lovell said: “I’m pleased to bring Connor back to the club. He did very well for us last season and we felt we needed some extra cover on that left side of defence, although he can also fill in at centre-half.

“He will be a strong addition to the squad and we are looking forward to having him back with us.”
