The Shouting Men: Gillingham defender Adam El-Abd writes exclusively for the KM Group

We know if we can win our remaining home games then we have a real good chance of promotion.

Five of our remaining eight are at Priestfield and the boys have enjoyed playing at home this season. Hopefully, we can continue that good form we have here.

It is all to play for and although it’s a cliché, it’s onto the next game for us. We are only concentrating on that, it’s a massive game and hopefully we can pick up another three points and put real pressure on the top two.

Coventry are still pushing for the play-offs so it is all to play for.

Can we catch Wigan, in second? All we can do is win our games. If we win our home games and pick up a few away, then we won’t be too far away.

It was a massive win at Bury on Monday. It wasn’t the prettiest but we knew things were going to be difficult because the pitch isn’t the best but it was a real dogged performance.

They showed great character to grind it out in the last 10-15 minutes. We dug in and held on to take three points.

I was on loan with Bury last season and every player will always tell you that if you go back to your old club, you want to win and we managed to do that.

Last season we managed to get promoted so we had a good time but I’m not going to lie, I am happy we came away with the three points.

Before that win, we hadn’t won in seven away from home but that wasn’t really hanging over us because we were on a good run going into the game.

The boys put in a good performance at Southend, in the game before and we were unlucky not to win. Before that we beat Crewe, so the last three results and performances haven’t been too bad.

We have managed to swing the wheel of momentum and are now hopefully going to continue this run until the end of the season.
