The 2019 KM Colour Run takes place at Betteshanger Park on Sunday, June 9 (8464601)

It takes place at Betteshanger Park near Deal on Sunday, June 9.

Participants in the fun fundraising challenge complete the 5km route while being covered in coloured powder.

They can take part for whatever charities they choose, and the money raised will be split 70-30 between their good causes and the KM Charity Team’s children’s road safety services.

Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “The Colour Run is one of Kent’s most enjoyable fundraising challenge events of the year.

“You can run, walk or jog round the course, and there’s absolutely no competitive edge or pressure – but if you do want to pit yourself against the clock, you are very welcome to do so.

“The emphasis, however, is on fun and raising money for your chosen good causes.

“It’s the perfect summer, fundraising event for families.”

The challenge is supported by key partner Specsavers, and the entry fee is £20 for adults and £12 for children aged four to 16; children under four go free.

Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult runner, and there is a £5 discount when using the booking code KMNews19.

The price includes a limited edition KM Colour Run T-shirt, sunglasses, a small bag of coloured powder and a medal on completion.

Spectators can purchase additional bags of coloured powder on the day and join in the fun by throwing it over participants.
